Itinerary

Day 1

Athens – Zurich – Rhine Falls – Zurich

Meet at the airport for the SWISS flight to Zurich. On arrival we head straight for the spectacular Rhine Falls in the canton of Schaffhausen. Back in Zurich we walk Bahnhofstrasse and the old town, and see the Fraumünster church with its Chagall stained glass, the cathedral, the town hall and the bridges over the Limmat.

Day 2

Zurich – Lucerne – Zurich

Morning departure for picture-perfect Lucerne, on the shores of Lake Lucerne. We tour the well-preserved medieval centre: the old town hall, the picturesque wooden bridge and the Lion Monument. Back to Zurich; in the afternoon, an optional excursion to Konstanz, Germany, on Lake Constance.

Day 3

By alpine train to St. Moritz

A very early start for the town of Chur, where the RhB alpine train awaits. A magical ride through the Engadin valley, past forests and lakes of unmatched beauty, brings us to St. Moritz — the most famous and aristocratic resort in the Alps. We return by train to Chur and by coach to Zurich.

Day 4

Interlaken & the capital, Bern

Morning departure for cosmopolitan Interlaken, set between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, a breath away from the perennially snow-capped Jungfrau massif. We continue to romantic Bern, "the city of fountains", built in a bend of the river Aare: the parliament, the clock tower, the cathedral and the medieval arcaded streets.

Day 5

Zurich – Liechtenstein – St. Gallen – Zurich

Morning departure for Vaduz, capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Europe's fourth-smallest state. We then continue to St. Gallen, a historic town in north-eastern Switzerland, and its Benedictine abbey — a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1983, whose famed library holds some 150,000 books and manuscripts dating from the 9th century.

Day 6

Free morning. Stroll the shopping streets lined with banks, boutiques and department stores, or enjoy a hot chocolate on the banks of the Limmat. Late afternoon transfer to the airport and flight back to Athens.
