Itinerary
Athens / Thessaloniki – Amman
We fly to Amman, the Arab capital with a modern face. Arrival, transfer to the hotel, and overnight.
Amman & Jerash – the Dead Sea
A guided tour of the capital: the Citadel, the Roman Theatre and the Archaeological Museum. We continue to Roman Jerash and end at the Dead Sea.

The Dead Sea – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Petra
We head to Madaba, the city of the most famous Byzantine mosaics, to see the most important mosaic map of the Holy Land. We continue to Mount Nebo and reach Petra.

Petra
A visit to the capital of the ancient Nabataeans. Petra, the lost city carved entirely by hand into rose-red rock, reveals itself at the end of the narrow Siq gorge.

Little Petra – Wadi Rum
We set off for Little Petra and the Siq el-Barid, where we walk through the 8,000-year-old excavated village. We continue to the Wadi Rum desert for a two-hour 4×4 jeep tour.

Wadi Rum – Aqaba
Breakfast at the camp, then on to Aqaba, a coastal town at the north-eastern tip of the Red Sea and the largest city on the gulf that bears its name.

Aqaba – Karak – Amman
We return to the capital through the dramatic Wadi el Mujib gorge. At Karak we visit the imposing Crusader castle, built in 1142 AD.

After breakfast we transfer to Amman airport for the return flight.
